Well, you may simply buy the application, it’s not all that expensive, but somewhat wasteful if you have no intention of putting it to use desk top publishing your own newsletter. pub file without MS Publisher? And I don’t believe Microsoft has made a Publisher viewer or reader for the convenience of non-Microsoft users. Unfortunately, since most people avoid such publishing chores, most people lack an appropriate application to open a Publisher file, let alone editing it. It’s great for laying out text and images, margins, page numbering, fonts etc etc then printing on my own printer. ![]() I have used MS Publisher for producing many a newsletter in years gone by. Yes, such can be made using a whole range of text editors, such as Microsoft Word, but text editors are NOT desktop publishing applications and are unable to produce a newsletter as easily or as well as MS Publisher. Microsoft Publisher is a nifty little application for those interested in producing newsletters, folded cards and the like. Unless you have Microsoft Publisher as part of the suite of Microsoft Office products you will find it difficult to read the contents of the file. Such a file may be recognised by its extension of “.pub”, as in “example file.pub”. Infrequently one stumbles upon a Microsoft Publisher file and may wish to read its contents. ![]()
